Even though higher education institutions are able to play a leading role in establishing gender equality, they still remain male-dominated and often witness gender discrimination and violence.
Phenomena such as gender imbalance between male and female professors occupying higher positions, inadequacy of insitutional policies to establish genuine gender equality and respect for sexual orientation are widespread among european universities.
This situation leads to the compelling need fot the G-FORCE project. G-FORCE aims to promote gender balance and respect for sexual orientation in universities by raising awareness regarding this issue and using innovative digital products and tools to enhamce the capacity of both professors and students on gender issues. ‘
This initiative aligns with the EU’s Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025, aiming for a gender-equal Europe.
