Module 4 – Gender and sexual orientation respect – Training and policy recommendation

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this module is to implement practical mitigation of gender bias through awareness of equality and gender competence. This is in order to address the reality that gender stereotypes limit the development of talent and life opportunities in general. The module aims to provide tools and coordinated actions to make academic staff and students “gender aware” and “gender sensitive”.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1. Empower academic staff and higher education students in the fight against gender bias by raising awareness of gender equality issues, developing gender competencies and promoting gender equality goals.
2. Create and provide innovative products and training tools as tailor-made teaching resources based on differentiated methodologies.
3. Empower them by leveraging the opportunities offered by information and communication technologies and digitising the quality of teaching content.
4. Create a culture of inclusiveness, respect and equality within higher education institutions.
