The purpose of this module is to provide the broader image of the relationship between gender and academia, allowing for the more nuanced modules that will follow.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1. Introduce the several aspects of gender(ing) in University and Higher Education Institutions
2. Focus on the main subjects in existing literature regarding gender and University, including career choice and advancement, sexual violence, gendered spaces within universities.
3. Review institutional responses and future developments
